Gabriele Messori
Professor
I became interested in extreme events in the climate system while finishing my Master thesis in physics in Imperial College London in 2010. My Ph. D. and my successive research have primarily focussed on the predictability and large-scale atmospheric controls of mid and high-latitude weather extremes in current and past climates. I work on combining approaches from diverse fields to study climate extremes: from dynamical systems theory to machine learning and ensemble modelling.
